Print artist, South East London
About Angie Cousins
On retiring from primary school teaching, where I had held a post for art for thirty years, I was keen to develop my own practice as an artist, in particular lino printing, which I enjoyed teaching my pupils in class and art clubs.
Most of my work is inspired by the environment and landscapes I visit or inhabit- the Malvern Hills, Dungeness, Rome to Greenwich, the London borough I have lived in all my adult life. I have shown my work in venues in these localities- in West Malvern, Dungeness power station, at Art Hub Gallery in Deptford and APT Gallery and studios, also in Deptford. In addition to this I have shown my work with my husband and guest artists in my home in Plumstead at the annual Open Studios for the past four years.
Over the past 2 years I have developed other aspects of my art practice with the wonderful dancer practitioner Maria da Luz Ghoumrassi of Greenwich Dance.
Exhibited works include: Linden Hall Studio Gallery, Deal. December 2021
